It is used to treat serious fungal or yeast infections, including vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal condidiasis (thrush, oral thrush), esophageal condidiasis (candida esophagitis), other candida infection (including urinary tract infections, peritonitis [inflammation of the lining of the stomach]).
