Dizone tablet may be used to treat alcohol use disorder (also called chronic alcoholism) and works by blocking an enzyme that is involved in breaking down alcohol.

Combining dizone with alcohol produces very unpleasant side effects which can help keep you from drinking.

Dizone tablet is not a cure for alcohol use disorder and other non - drug treatments, such as behaviour modification, psychotherapy, and counseling support are needed in addition to dizone tablet to give you the best possible chance to stop drinking.

Disulfiram :
Disulfiram tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of alcohol addiction. It works by producing interaction with alcohol and thereby causing unpleasant effects like nausea, flushing of the face, headaches. Thus, it discourages the patients from taking alcohol while on this medication.
