This medicine is a antibiotic. It is used to treat bacterial infections that cause bronchitis, pneumonia, chlamydia, gonorrhea, skin infection, vaginal infection, urinary tract infections, intestinal infections and infection of the prostate. These infection may be caused by anaerobic bacteria (bacteria that do not use oxygen) or amoeba (single celled parasites).
